In any other family his accomplished would be impressive, but not when compared with Gerald’s. Elder brother Bob is in every way less impressive, something he is bitterly conscious of. Younger brother Gerald is the idol of the family – intelligent, handsome, and gifted at all that he attempts. Written in 1922, The Lucky One is the story of the Farringdon brothers.

It was still an interesting read but altogether it fell a bit flat and was nowhere near as engaging as many of his other works. Well, that might be putting it a bit strong. Milne, I think I may have finally found a Milne play that I dislike.
